Ash Sakula, Archio, and Turner Works recently came together to present their exciting vision for the new St George’s neighbourhood in Wolverhampton, a development set to transform an old supermarket carpark into a thriving community of 400 homes. Hosted for both their client, Capital & Centric, and the general public, the presentation highlighted the team's collaborative approach to sustainable urban living and placemaking. Their design focused on creating a neighbourhood that balances modern architectural innovation with strong community ties, integrating green spaces, shared amenities, and pedestrian-friendly areas.
Throughout the presentation, the architects emphasised a commitment to fostering connections and promoting wellbeing, with thoughtful design choices that enhance the quality of life for future residents. Respect for the site's heritage was also a key consideration, ensuring that the development would feel authentic and harmonious with its surroundings. The proposal was met with positive feedback, reflecting the team's shared vision of crafting a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking neighbourhood that will serve as a model for future developments.
